Hhmm...Don't you just hate it when you're all psych up to update your blog & somehow the internet connection goes haywire! Of late, I've been having problems with my connection and it's really driving me crazy *sigh* The rainy weather here are not helping as well :-(

Thankfully the connection is slightly better today & I'm taking the chance to rush out all my back-logged posts :-) Boy! Sure have loads to catch up!

These cupcakes was ordered by my dear friend, Era, whom in turn ordered it on behalf of her office-mate. It was a very last minute order thus I didn't have much time to do anything fancy or even 'bling' it :-P Practically had only a few hours to bake & decorate the goodies...The order was for a two sets of cupcakes & according to Era, her office-mate wanted to present it as a gift to celebrate her husband's birthday & also for eating pleasure :-)

Mickey & Minnie Mouse Cupcakes

Okay, here's a confession...I'm one of those people who DEFINITELY will go hysteria each time I step into those baking supply shops! When I say hysteria, I REALLY mean hysteria! You'll see me running here & there...touching this & that...and sighing each time I see great 'toys' in a form of cookie & fondant cutters, cake pans or even those beautiful colorful sugar crystals. Gosh! Just the thought of those shops makes me shiver with delight right now :-P

I loveeeeee walking into those shops and linger around looking at all the products...I find it so soothing & I usually get my best ideas there :-) The bad side of visiting those shops is that each time I walk out, I'll end up with loads of plastic bags containing all sort of new 'toys'! As if my pantry/storeroom is not already  bursting with all those cake decorating 'toys'!! Half of it I don't even know how to use it ( yet! )! Ha..ha..

On one such visit, I stumbled upon some super cute cookie cutters which brings back my childhood memories :-) I practically jumped with joy in the shop when I saw the cutters, much to the shop owner's dismay! Ha..ha..It may sound silly, but it really made my day :-) So excited was I over it that I immediately whipped up a batter of red velvet cupcakes the moment I reached home. Just couldn't wait another minute to use the cutters & make my cupcakes decorations. Good thing that I was going on a picnic with a bunch of friends the very next day ;-) So what better excuse to make cupcakes, rite? :-P

At the time I'm typing this away, the time on my clock is showing 3:40am. Just finished another last minute cupcakes order which need to be delivered a few hours from now :-P Since I'm up & about, thought I might as well catch up on my post...Still have loadsssssss to update! :-P

The start of February unexpectedly turned out to be a hectic time for me. Much to my amazement & definitely delight ( yeayyyyy!! ), my cupcakes seems to be getting great responses & orders had been pouring in non-stop :-) I was actually swarmed with cupcakes order when ZRZ called me up requesting me to slot in her very ( and I really mean VERY...he..he.. ) last minute order. Not wanting to disappoint one of my strongest supporter, I accepted ZRZ's request despite being 'buried' with cupcakes order that time :-P

ZRZ's order this time around was for a 50 pieces Orange Poppy Seed Cupcakes which she would like to bring all the way back to Kelantan, in time for her niece's birthday...It was such a sweet gesture on ZRZ's part that I couldn't help sharing her excitement :-)

Chinese New Year Goodies

The Chinese New Year celebration is nearing it's end & I have yet to update my post :-P Apologize for the delay as 'lil ole me was swarmed with cupcakes order ( much to my delight! ) ever since the start of February. For Susan's winning cupcakes, I decided to decorate it in line with the Chinese New Year celebration. Something special for Susan :-x Also, it's an excuse for me to try my hands doing all those festive decos as I've never done Chinese New Year themed cupcakes before :-P

I was VERY excited over these cupcakes to tell the truth :-) Each of it's deco are all a very 1st for me...From the 3D oranges, the imprints to the Chinese characters writing on the 'ang pow'. Yeah, I know...Nothing much to shout about but it is a big thing for a novice like me! Ha..ha...

Cupcakes & Brownie Goodies

It always warms my heart when family, friends & customers chooses my goodies to grace their special occasions...Much more so when it's from a new customer :-) Not only do I get to share my goodies with them, but it also opens up a path to new friendships :-)

I was recently honored to be given a chance to know a very sweet lady by the name of Ms. Zaheeda. Though we have never met before, I was smitten by her sweet & friendly ways. She really had me at 'hello' via her mobile messages :-) Zaheeda initially requested a brownie which she would like to send to her aunt in Oman & somewhere along the way, she added a set of cupcakes for her mum as well :-)

I guess receiving new customers really made my day & help boost my confidence that I decided to try something new for Zaheeda's cupcakes deco :-P The deco might not be new to those professional bakers but as a novice, I was pretty excited about my new project, hand-made fondant flowers :-P It's nothing fancy or elaborate though as I really don't know how to do it *blush* I do have to start somewhere, right? Do or die, as I've always say :-P
